Shandur Pass, often called the "Roof of the World," is a spectacular high-altitude mountain pass situated at around 3,700 meters (12,139 feet) above sea level, connecting Chitral to Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and serene alpine beauty, Shandur is best known as the site of the Shandur Polo Festival, an iconic annual event held on the world's highest polo ground. Every July, teams from Chitral and Gilgit face off in a traditional freestyle polo match, attracting thousands of visitors from across the globe. The pass also offers trekking, camping, and unmatched views of the Hindu Kush mountain range.
